The council’s historic environment team, was initially concerned with the extent of internal alterations to the listed building which proposed significant changes to what was presumed to be the original layout.
Following the reduction in the scope of work proposed and the submission of additional photographic records, the historic environment team confirmed it was content with what was being proposed.
In granting permission, the planning officer’s report stated the proposal was in line with the principles and policies contained within the area’s development plan.
“The proposal will not have a detrimental impact upon neighbouring amenity or affect the appearance/character of the surrounding area,” the report added.
