Man (25) arrested after stand off with police near Beechwood Business Park

A 25 year old man has been arrested after a stand-off with police near Beechwood Business Park.

Police were called to the address on Old Perth Road just after 2pm yesterday (June 24).

There was a still a heavy police presence of armed officers after 8pm.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Services were called to the address at 8.10pm to extinguish bed sheets that were set on fire.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.20pm on Tuesday, 24 June 2025, police were called to a concern for person at an address on Old Perth Road, near the Beechwood Business Park, Inverness.

“A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is expected to appear at court at a later date.”
