Police have arrested a 28-year-old man at Milton of Leys.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested following a disturbance in a property in an Inverness neighbourhood.

The incident in the city's Milton of Leys area began in the early hours of this morning and resulted in a section of Inshes Road being closed for several hours.

Police officers were initially called to a property in Strathspey Place around 3.20am.

Chief Inspector Colin Gough said: "This was incident was contained to within the property and there was no wider risk to the public.

"We appreciate that the police presence will have been disruptive to local residents going about their business and we appreciate their patience and understanding while the incident was ongoing."

Inshes Road was closed from the junction of Kincraig Drive to the Sandalwood Avenue junction.
