Man taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness after small house fire in Highland capital sparks call out for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, police and an ambulance
A MAN was taken to hospital last night after a house fire in Inverness.
Three fire engines, police and an ambulance attended a dwelling in Mackintosh Road after receiving a call at around 6pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service described the fire as "small", and said it had already been extinguished by the time fire engines arrived on the scene.
But the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that one man was taken to hospital following the incident.
“We received a call at 6pm on Thursday to attend an incident on Mackintosh Road," said a spokesman. "We dispatched one ambulance and our trauma team to the scene. We transported one male patient in their 50s to Raigmore Hospital.”
There was no word on their condition.
The fire engines, meanwhile, were stood down at 6.16pm and returned to base.
