McDonald's and Nandos restaurants closed in response to coronavirus

McDonald's is to close all 1270 of its restaurants in the UK by the end of today while Nandos says all of its restaurants are already closed "until further notice".

Previously, McDonald's had closed its seating areas but had continued to offer takeaway and drive-through services.

Inverness has McDonald's branches in the High Street and at Inshes Retail Park.

There is also a branch at Forres Road in Nairn.

There is a branch of Nandos at Inverness Shopping Park.
