Mikeysline scoop Highland Heroes award at prestigious ceremony
A suicide prevention charity has won the Emergency Services or Crisis Support Service of the Year at Highland Heroes 2025.
Mikeysline was recognised at the packed out event on Friday night at the Drumossie Hotel.
When a person is navigating their darkest moments in life, irrespective of the day of the year, suicide prevention and mental health charity Mikeysline is there to offer support.
Volunteers come from different walks of life and ages; often their own lives may have been touched by suicide, and that gives them a level of empathy and compassion that supports people in crisis to feel deeply understood.
Mikeysline works with businesses, provides 1:1 support in secondary schools, and is building resilience in young children too, through its work in primary schools.
Speaking about receiving the award, Mikeysline chief executive, Emily Stokes said: “It’s a real honour. We were up against two other organisations who are also there for people in crisis.
“For the staff and volunteers, it means so much to us and we are really honoured and grateful for all the votes.”
