Mabel the cat has been missing from the Isobel Fraser Care Home since Monday September 30.

Worried staff and residents at a care home in Inverness are appealing for the safe return of its cat, after it went missing almost two weeks ago.

Mabel, a two year old tortoiseshell cat, has been part of the Isobel Fraser Care Home family since she was 10 weeks old.

But concern is growing for its whereabouts after the care home favourite suddenly went missing early last week.

The home, which is situated on Mayfield Road, say that it is completely out of character for Mabel to be away from home this long, but she has been known to wander nearby and in to the Crown Area.

Staff and residents at the care home say they are missing Mabel very much and would appreciate any help they can get to help bring Mabel Home.

Mabel is microchipped and was wearing a pink collar the last time she was seen on Monday September 30 at the home.

A spokesperson for the care home said: “Our Mabel hasn’t been seen since Monday. She has been known to wander around Mayfield Road and in to the Crown area, but we are starting to get worried about her.

“She is a much loved and very important member of our Isobel Fraser family and all we want is her back safe.

“If anyone has seen her please phone us on 01463 230149 or 07391 903582.”
