MOD 2021: What is on today (Tuesday) at the Royal National Mod in Inverness? With a family ceilidh, mini feis, and children's competitions - the Highland school holidays don't have to be dull
Today at the Royal National Mod in Inverness will see Kilted Otters, looking An Ear (East) and a not-to-be-missed family ceilidh.
After the first day of in person competitions yesterday, Naomi J Graham (15) from The Nicolson Institute School (Sgoil MhicNeacail) in Stornoway, Scotland, winner of the James C McPhee Memorial Medal at The Royal National Mòd 2021, in Inverness, Scotland.
Today, the competitions begin in Eden Court at 11am.
Children's events today include Leugh is Seinn le Linda at 10am
The BBC Alba children's programme presenter will be reading some of Gaelic's favourite children's books. It will be streamed online on Facebook.
The Kilted Otter team will be in Eden Court to help young people, aged primary six and up, create a board game.
Organisers said: "We will form teams and create Scots Gaelic board games from scratch. Our Kilted Otter team will take you through all the steps needed to create a fantastic playable board game based on your imagination! At the end of the session, we will award prizes for the best games and invite the public to play and vote."
At 4pm there will be live music at the Mod Tent at Eden Court.

In Eden Court at 7.30pm Lauren MacColl, in a newly commissioned work, tells the story of coastal "happenings" and stories from around the Moray Firth.
The piece explores real events connected to water, coastline, community and loss.
Joining Ms MacColl on stage, the piece features fellow musicians featuring Mairearad Green, Anna Massie and Rachel Newton, with visuals by filmmaker Zoe Paterson MacInnes, with songs from Arthur Cormack and Emma MacLeod.
