More Sunday buses between Inverness and Fort William
Sunday bus services between Inverness and Fort William are to increase.
Scottish Citylink will operate three services in each direction on its 919 route from April 2.
The newest additional service departs Fort William at 9.30am and departs Inverness at 1pm.
The announcement allows customers from Fort William the chance to have a full day in Inverness, and those travelling in the other direction have an additional lunchtime service available.
The extra service also enables passengers to benefit from an additional connection to Skye on a Sunday.
Citylink already provides five services in each direction between Fort William and Inverness between Monday and Saturday.
Scottish Citylink operations director Simone Smith said it was great news for customers who now have more journey options, at convenient times, when travelling between Fort William and Inverness.
"We look forward to introducing this service and hope local people and those travelling in the area will enjoy the benefits of having more journeys to choose from," she said.
The new service means that Sunday journeys leave Fort William at 9.30am, 12.30pm and 5.40pm and leave Inverness at 11am, 1pm and 5.15pm each week.
In addition, during the Citylink summer timetable, which runs from May 22 until September 24, the service operates nine times every day to provide even more journey options.
