Ryan Gaffney (29) and Sean Gaffney (33), both from Hamilton, were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery and appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today. They made no plea to a charge of being concerned in the supply of cannabis in Ross-shire and were
committed for further examination and released on bail by Sheriff Gary Aitken.
On the same day officers recovered approximately 1,400 cannabis plants worth an estimated street value £1 million at a property in Stirling, with an estimated £1.6 million worth of drugs seized in a day.
Chief Inspector Katrina Thompson said: “Tackling drugs remains one of our top priorities and this operation highlights our commitment to eradicating them from our communities.
“We will use all available tools to combat this activity, but we cannot do it alone.
“We rely on the support and cooperation from the public and we encourage anyone with information or concerns about drugs to get in touch with us.”
