Morrisons Inverness cuts the ribbon after store refit
AN INVERNESS supermarket branch has officially revealed a new look for the store after a major refit.
The city centre branch of Morrisons on Millburn Road unveiled the new look last week, with an event featuring BID bears and members of staff cutting the ribbon.
Inverness Morrisons community champion Kylie Omand said they were delighted of the event.
"It was great to launch officially the new store," she said.
"Once the ribbon was cut I had the pleasure of handing out some lovely gifts to customers, ranging from selection boxes to gift voucher surprise bags.
"It was lovely to chat with customer to see how they are liking the new layout and the responses were all very positive.
"It's good to have a new looking store – we have a larger Nutmeg section with a lot of festive bits that we really didn't have enough space for before."
The store will also offer a room for community groups and charities to book free of charge.
Ms Omand said: "The room will be available to book for meetings, small group meets, and quiet study space and has been put in as a free space to benefit the community."
The space will be bookable through Ms Omand as community champion and further information will be provided via the Facebook page Morrisons Inverness Community Champion.
