Folk rock band Skerryvore has issued a call for musicians to join in tomorrow's weekly Clap for Carers event across the Highlands.

The group has posted an appeal on Facebook for musicians to join in with a performance of the song Everyday Heroes wherever they are when the now regular round of applause for the NHS takes place at 8pm tomorrow night.

They said: "Please, please, please.... Share with everyone you know that plays an instrument and join us for the Clap For Carers this Thursday night as we come together as one great big band to thank the everyday heroes who are risking so much to save lives."

As well as members of Skerryvore other bands set to take part include Skipinnish, Tide Lines, Mànran, Trail West, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Peat & Diesel and Fat Suit.
