Cawdor House guest house in Nairn up for sale for more than £1m
A Nairn guest house is now on the market — with an asking price of over £1 million.
An advert published at the start of March on Rightmove sees Cawdor House on Cawdor Street up for sale.
The Victorian building saw a succession of owners over the past few years — with German couple Andreas and Anika Schulz running the guest house and Cafe Lavander between 2016 and 2023.
It was then taken over by another German team operating as Cawdorbythesea Ltd in May 2023 and continued to run as a guest house (which also included a cafe for a few months).
The house was originally built as a manse for the Free Church in Scotland.
According to the advert, the guest house features three rooms of various sizes and three separate living areas have been retained for private use by the current owners.
Gary Witham, director at Christie & Co, who is managing the sale, said: “Small high-quality guest houses such as this are very popular where they have accessibility, not only to a major town and airport but also heritage and leisure attractions.”
Bookings on the guest house’s website are still open.
The current owners have been contacted for comment.
