Man charged over fatal crash last May

A man has been charged after a pedestrian died following a crash last year.

William Henderson, 49, died after a collision in Greenfaulds Road, Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, on May 26.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow but later died.

The incident involved a black Citroen C4 car and happened at around 8.10am at the junction with Locksley Road.

Police have now said a 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with alleged road traffic offences following an investigation.

He has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
