Police have issued an appeal after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run on Christmas Day.

The 53-year-old woman was struck by a car in Croftfoot Road, Glasgow, at around 11pm on Wednesday December 25.

The vehicle initially stopped but was driven off before emergency services arrived; however a wing mirror which had been knocked off in the incident was left behind.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police believe the car was a 2005-2015 Ford S-Max, possibly dark grey in colour, and had two occupants who were described as Asian males with Scottish accents.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Extensive inquiries remain ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the car around this time to contact us.

“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2579 of December 25 2024.
