A new A9 roundabout is now up and running as contractors work on the newest section of dual carriageway south of Inverness.

Work recently began on the dualling of the road between Tomatin and Moy.

And, as part of the construction work, a temporary roundabout has been created north of Tomatin at the contractors’ main compound at Invereen in order to safely manage motorists and site traffic as they navigate the roadworks.

Reduced speed limits of 30mph have also been introduced on the approached to the roundabout.

Road users are being advised to approach the roundabout with caution, and also to allow extra time for their journeys when driving along the section were work on the new dualling is taking place.
