Exciting changes are on the horizon for food lovers in Inverness, as Cru Hospitality prepares to take over the management of the food court at Eastgate Shopping Centre.

With a wealth of industry experience, the team at Cru Hospitality is set to introduce a dynamic approach to the food court, ensuring it becomes a go-to dining destination for shoppers and the wider Inverness community. It is aiming to have an emphasis on quality, variety and an inviting atmosphere.

A job advert, seen earlier by The Inverness Courier, described a “brand-new Eastgate Food Court - an exciting new street food concept with a buzzing bar offering, all under the new management of Cru Hospitality”.

Part of the award-winning Cru Holdings family, Cru Hospitality is no stranger to delivering outstanding food and drink experiences. With a portfolio that includes some of the Highlands’ most celebrated venues - such as the Whitehouse, Scotch & Rye and Prime Steak & Seafood.

Cru Hospitality CEO Scott Murray said this latest venture at Eastgate represents a natural progression in their mission to redefine hospitality in the region.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing our expertise to Eastgate Shopping Centre,” he said. “We see a huge opportunity to create a modern, welcoming space where people can enjoy great food, fantastic service, a cheeky tipple, and a real sense of community.

“Our goal is to make the food court a destination in its own right, rather than just a stop along the way.”

With operations set to commence in June this year, Cru Hospitality is already working behind the scenes to curate a diverse selection of food options that will appeal to a broad range of tastes.

“By combining local expertise, a commitment to excellence, and an understanding of what customers truly want, the food court at Eastgate is poised for an exciting transformation,” Mr Murray added.

“This move underscores Cru Hospitality’s dedication to elevating dining standards in the Highlands, and visitors to Eastgate Shopping Centre can look forward to a fresh, vibrant, and customer-focused experience in the near future.”

It comes around six weeks after confirmation that the shopping centre’s Loch & Larder food zone was closing just two years after a £2 million investment in the project.

Eastgate Shopping Centre has been approached for comment.
