An Inverness firm which already runs a number of restaurants appears to have formed a partnership with Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Cru Holdings - which runs several businesses including Prime restaurant, Imperial bar, Scotch and Rye, as well as Murray Travel - is advertising for a general manager for Eastgate Food Court (CRU Hospitality).

Loch & Larder came after a £2 million investment.

It states: “Welcome to the brand-new Eastgate Food Court - an exciting new street food concept with a buzzing bar offering, all under the new management of Cru Hospitality. We’re on the lookout for a general manager to take the reins and make this place the go-to food spot in Inverness.”

It adds that Cru Hospitality has been shaking up the hospitality scene since 2009.

It comes around six weeks after confirmation that the shopping centre’s Loch & Larder food zone was closing just two years after a £2 million investment in the project.

Last month centre manager Chris Kershaw said he was “incredibly sad” and “immensely grateful” for Loch & Larder “contribution and dedication”, adding: “However, we would like to let our customers know that we are progressing with an exciting project to transform the food court and have been working alongside a team of designers and market leaders to deliver a refreshed environment and new culinary experience for customers to enjoy.

“We anticipate the revamped food court will be ready to open its doors later this year.”

Mr Kershaw and Cru Holdings have been approached for comment.
