Inverness Music Festival announces new venue as entries invited for 2023 competitions
Entries are being invited for next year’s Inverness Music Festival which will be held at a new venue following a couple of challenging years.
Competitions will take place at Inverness Methodist Church, in Huntly Street, following the last two years when the festival was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic and then in a blended online and live format.
Speech, classical and contemporary events will take place from February 23-26 while traditional, vocal, dancing and faith events will be held from March 3-5.
There will also be a celebration concert on March 18.
The festival’s motto is “Performance for Everyone” and the organisers are keen to provide performance opportunities for all ages and all stages of amateur performers, both competitive and non-competitive.
They also hope to hold “Come and Try” sessions including Scottish country dancing for families and all ages.
In addition, the festival is looking for volunteers to help during the events.
The syllabus and further details can be found at www.invernessmusicfestival.
The closing date for entries is Monday, December 20.
