A new refill shop has opened its doors in Inverness city centre.

Ness Refill, in Queensgate, welcomed its first customers on Saturday.

Owner Evelyn Elder said she was really pleased with the opening.

"We had a very good start," she said. "We were quite busy on Saturday and today as well.

"People would come in and see what it is and what we've got. I think everyone has been pleased with the selection that we've got and we had some suggestions from people on other things that we might get in the future.

"I think we're trying to get more people to know where we are and what we do. The space has been empty for so long so it's also about letting people know that we are here".

She said she opened the shop after seeing a gap in the zero-packaging market in Inverness.

Customers are able to fill up their own containers with a selection of pantry items, fresh produce, household cleaners and washing products among others.
