NHS Highland congratulates emergency team for winning award
NHS Highland have congratulated the Prehospital Immediate Care and Trauma Team (PICT) for winning the emergency services hero of the year award.
They were announced the winner at the Highland Hero awards on March 24 at a ceremony at Kingsmills Hotel.
The award recognised PICT's incredible work since its formation in 2016.
PICT is made up of hospital specialists and general practitioners providing prehospital care for a range of medial conditions including trauma care.
Team members Dr Catherine Brown and Stuart Abel, advanced practitioner in critical care collected the award on behalf of the whole team.
Katherine Sutton, chief officer acute, NHS Highland said: “We would like to congratulate PICT on their award. It’s a fantastic achievement for the whole team. "We look forward to working closely with them as we look at the best ways to deliver emergency services provision across the health board.
“We would also like to congratulate all this year’s Highland Heroes nominees and winners.”
Dr Catherine Brown, NHS Highland and PICT, said: “It’s excellent to have won this award in a close category with so many worthy winners. This award reflects the PICT team’s hard work and dedication in helping people across the Highlands.”
