Peat & Diesel create one-off T-shirts to mark last-ever Ironworks gig
Peat & Diesel have shown off the tongue in cheek design of their new T-shirts – a fitting memento for the group's 'last night' gig at the Inverness tonight.
The T-shirts show the music venue – which hosts its final gig next Saturday (Feb 4) with Elephant Sessions – dwarfed by the drawing of a massive hotel, alluding to the future of the Ironworks' space. It will close next week before being demolished with the space used for a new hotel.
The striking yellow and black T-shirt design was initially seen on posters for the gig.
But now fans of Peat & Diesel, Calum 'Boydie' MacLeod, Innes Scott and Uilleam 'Uilly' Macleod, and the Ironworks going along to tonight's gig will have the chance to buy this wearable memory of a special night.
Yesterday it was revealed that the Lewis band would have their music introduced to a whole new world, as their track Western Isles will feature on the Disney+ new Extraordinary series.
Peat & Diesel tweeted this morning to tell the world about their T-shirts: "...less than a week after announcing it we're playing our last ever show at Ironworks Venue tonight!! Our team have been super fast turning some T-shirts around for you all, so here they are. Available on our merch table this evening!"
It's not long since the band played the city, visiting from Lewis for a free gig in Inverness in December outside the Eastgate Centre before heading inside to meet and greet fans, and waiting for two hours so the whole queue got their chance to meet the boys.
