Inverness collision between car and pedestrian on road to Culloden leaves woman (45) in Raigmore Hospital, confirms Police Scotland
A woman was taken to hospital after a collision involving a car and pedestrian on a major Inverness road.
The B9006 Culloden road was closed for a time on Monday morning between the Inshes roundabout and junction for the Inverness Campus following the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said one person was taken to Raigmore Hospital following the crash.
“We received a call at 10.08am today (Monday) to attend an incident on the B9006 and transported one patient to Raigmore Hospital,” they said.
A police spokesperson later confirmed that the injured person was a 45-year-old woman pedestrian, and that she was “taken to hospital for treatment”.
They did not say if her injuries were serious or not. But they added that the car’s driver was uninjured in the collision.
“The road has reopened and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances,” they added.
Earlier police had warned drivers to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
