A business that was destroyed by a fire at Fairways last weekend has announced it will have to let one of its staff go.

SJ Gifts was due to open for the first time on March 10, however, a devastating blaze caused by an arson attack, ripped through the premises it was situated in, with all the stock being lost.

Owner of SJ Gifts, Julia Macleay has said she has now been forced to make one of the ‘toughest decisions’ by letting go staff member Clare Allan.

Julia is hoping that someone else will quickly jump in and hire ‘bubbly’ Clare.

Julia said: “It’s absolutely heartbreaking because she would have been amazing in our gift shop—her bubbly personality, friendly nature, and infectious energy made her a joy to be around.

“Clare is someone who brightens any room she walks into, and any workplace would be lucky to have her.

“If anyone knows of any job vacancies or opportunities that would suit her, please reach out to Clare directly or email clare76allan@gmail.com

“Let’s help her find the opportunity she truly deserves.

“Thank you all for your support!”
