A Strictly Inverness contestant is getting creative for one of her fundraisers by hosting a paint and prosecco evening.

Jane Fuller (40) is taking part in the annual dancing competition, which sees novice Highlanders take on intensive training to perform three different dances in May.

All of it is in aid of the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre and alongside the training, competitors must also host a range of events to boost their fundraising efforts.

Jane’s arty night is set to take place on April 25 at Inverness Ice Centre, where attendees can create a work of art whilst sipping on prosecco.

The mum of two has decided to take part in Inverness Strictly in memory of her mother who she lost to breast cancer.

Jane said: “I’ve always loved Strictly Come Dancing, and after attending the final of Strictly Inverness last year, I was blown away by the production and the incredible money raised for charity.

“I turned to my husband and said, “I’m doing this next year” and now, here I am!

“Supporting Highland Hospice through this experience feels deeply personal to me, as it’s in memory of my mum, who passed away suddenly from breast cancer in 2022.

“She was a huge Strictly fan and was so excited to attend her first live show in Glasgow, but sadly, she passed away a month before we got to attend. This experience is for her, and I know she’d be laughing at me saying, “What have you got yourself into?” but in her words, “It will be a hoot!””

Jane’s paint and procescco night starts at 7pm.

Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased by donating to Jane’s Just Giving page, along with your name and the reference ‘Paint and Prosecco’.
