Painted Inverness guest house back on Highland Council agenda
AN Inverness guest house – which has been at the centre of controversy due to a new lick of paint – will be up for discussion at a Highland Council meeting tomorrow.
Members of the south planning applications committee will be asked to note a Scottish Government reporter’s decision to uphold an enforcement notice asking for the paint to be removed.
Coinneach MacMillan, owner of Crown House in Crown Drive, broke planning rules when he painted some stonework on his property a cream colour.
He lost his appeal against the notice which was issued by the council in May. Planning officers said the application of paint was not in keeping with the area.
