Palestinian artist set to display exhibition at Inverness cafe
An exhibition by a Palestinian photographer is set to be displayed at XOKO Bakehouse in Inverness.
The unique exhibition by photographer Mohammad Zwahre runs from September 24 to 26 and there will also be an opportunity to meet the artist.
It documents the Bedouin Palestinian shepherds living in the hills south of Hebron in the West Bank.
The people of Masafer Yatta are determined to hold onto their land and their traditional way of life despite constant pressure to leave.
Mohammad Zwahre will tell the story of the struggles of a group of Bedouin Palestinians living among the harsh terrain of the hills south of Hebron, Southern Palestine, as they resist harassment and oppression from settlers and the Israeli government.
The special 'meet the artist' will take place at XOKO at 5pm Tuesday, September 24 and is open to everyone.
