SOME restrictions related to the ongoing demolition of the fire-ravaged Eastgate Hostel in Inverness city centre will be lifted on Saturday as part of a classic vehicle show.

The change will allow a parade of 140 vehicles to pass nearby as part of the finale to the event organised by Inverness Business Improvement District.

Some traffic restrictions in the city centre will be in place for several hours.

Meanwhile, a huge crane being used in the demolition of the hostel has been removed. It is set to return on Monday.

Work to raze the building, which has blighted the city centre since the blaze in April 2013, started in March. It is set to last for 12 weeks.
