People advised to avoid Inverness city centre road

Police are advising people to avoid View Place in Inverness due to an "ongoing incident".

The road has been closed between Castle Street and Castle Road.

Police have been seen in the area and a cordon is in place.

A spokesman for the force said: "Police Scotland is advising motorists that View Place is closed between Castle Street and Castle Road, Inverness due to an ongoing incident. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area meantime."
