PICTURES: Inverness marks Armistice Day with a two-minute silence
A two-minute silence has been observed in Inverness to mark Armistice Day.
A short service took place outside Inverness Town House with readings and prayers.
Highland councillors were joined by members of the Inverness branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) former service personnel, cadets, school pupils and others.
Members of the public also joined in the two-minute silence which is held every year at on November 11 at 11am to mark the end of World War I in 1918.
The occasion brought together people of all ages who wanted to pay their respects.
The service was led by Padre of Inverness RBLS, Canon Dr John Cuthbert.
