PICTURES: Big smiles among Gathering revellers in Inverness with main acts still to come
REVELLERS have been enjoying themselves at The Gathering festival in Inverness today.
Despite some rain in the mid-afternoon period, the day has been relatively dry for large parts – and the weather certainly failed to dampen the spirits of the many festival-goers.
Big smiles were the order of the day, and with the cloud expected to clear away into the evening, music fans will hopefully find themselves sporting even bigger grins when the tentpole acts take to the main stage.
At the time of writing Shooglenifty, Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Tide Lines were still to come on the main stage, and Josie Duncan, the Amy Henderson Band, and Rant were all still providing or set to provide entertainment on The Tomatin Whisky Stage.
Needless to say, there's still plenty of great entertainment for those in the Northern Meeting Park to enjoy.
No doubt all those smiles will be positively beaming by the time the curtain comes down at 10.30pm.
