NEIGHBOURS and visitors from around Inverness flocked in a city neighbourhood for the first edition of a community weekend event.
Organised by Crown Connects in partnership with Velocity Cafe and Bicycle Workshop and Highland Community Waste Partnership, the Jumble Trail event saw Crown residents put out 14 stalls of pre-loved items to be sold to visitors.
Organiser Julia Dall, of Crown Connects, said that there were around 100 people attending and that some people living from outwith the area had travelled there specifically for the stalls.
She said: "We had a lovely weekend. We reckon probably about 100 people attended which is great – the whole area had a great atmosphere.
"A few people said they'd love to have a similar event on their street or in their area, and everyone I spoke to said they would want to do it as a regular event."
Cllr Kate McLean (SNP) attended and really enjoyed the event, posting about it on her Facebook page.
Talking about highlights from the day, Ms Dall added: "One stallholder sold a model of the ship Discovery which was going to be a special gift for someone's dad in Dubai.
"Another stallholder met a new family to the area and spoke to lots of people they recognised from the area but had never chatted to before
"I met a neighbour just round the corner from me, we've never spoken properly before and we got on so well – she's started making beautiful Harris Tweed bags for sale so I bought one."
