A horror convention will return to Inverness next year following the success of its event at at the weekend, organisers have revealed.

The Horror Con Scotland’s Northern Frights event took place in Eden Court on Saturday, bringing a wide array of fans of the genre flocking to the city - some of whom came in cosplay as their favourite spooky characters.

Organiser Laura Ripley said: "We're super happy with the turnout and support from Inverness. The effort in the costumes was amazing.

"One of my highlights of the day was the support for the Scottish horror movies and the Q&A with the directors.

"I needed to see how this year would go before confirming future years, but thanks to the interest and feedback I'll be looking to get a 2025 date planned soon."

The event, which ran through much of the day, included a host of horror film screenings and shorts, a cosplay contest with the best outfits up for prizes, a chance to meet horror authors who shared some of their darkest tales, and a special horror photo booth for a spooky souvenir, and more.
