The Scottish Exotic Animal Rescue also visited the centre as part of the programme, introducing children to creatures such as snakes and lizards.

The fun continues on Sunday with the centre’s newly-introduced Science Sundays for curious young minds.

Held on the last Sunday of every month, the sessions are designed for children of all ages, combining science, creativity, and hands-on exploration to inspire a love for discovery.

This Sunday’s session, Lemon Volcanoes, takes place between 11am and 3pm when youngsters can create a colourful fizzing reaction by combining baking soda, vinegar, and fresh lemons as they learn about chemical reactions and how acids and bases work together.
