THE Nairn branch of a popular gym has welcomed its first members this morning for their first session in the brand new premises.

Following a successful few years in Inverness, the team behind Dan Moore Elite Training announced earlier this year their plans to expand to the seaside town.

The gym is based at the Balmakeith industrial estate and the interest has picked up fast, with 100 new members subscribing to the tailored personal training before the official opening this week.

Gym owner Dan Moore was enthusiastic about the opening and the target achieved.

He said: "We had a goal of 60-100, but 100 was definitely a stretch goal and a lofty target particularly at this time of year.

"We will not close off to new members for a while and serve the current base of members.

"We are excited to get going and serve the people of Nairn."

On a post on Facebook the team added: "Our new site at Nairn takes the best bits of our former space in Culloden and married that up with the best bits of our current site in Inverness in terms of look, feel and product we are offering. We wanted to open with things Exactly how we wanted and are delighted to do so."
