The world famous Red Arrows aerial display squadron have been wowing Highland and Moray onlookers on their latest training trip to the region.

The famous RAF display team, who are based at RAF Waddington, flew into RAF Lossiemouth on Monday and have been seen training in the skies above the Dornoch Firth, Easter Ross and Sutherland on Tuesday.

And delighted onlookers could not have asked for better conditions, with plenty of sunshine making for pleasant watching for those firmly rooted to the ground.

In total, three separate training sessions are expected to take place in the skies above the Tain Range on Tuesday, with one still remaining to go at the time of writing.

And if you were unlucky enough to miss out on the impromptu displays on Tuesday, don’t worry as further flights are expected on Wednesday and Thursday - weather permitting - before the squadron jet off back south.

The squadron’s latest visit to the region comes almost exactly a year to the day since their last training exercises in the skies above the Highlands and Moray.
