PICTURES: Drakies Primary celebrates Christmas with popular fayre
FESTIVE spirit was in full swing last week at an Inverness Primary school.
Pupils, staff and family members at Drakies Primary came together for the school’s Christmas Fayre, one of several events for the run up to Christmas.
For the first time since the pandemic the schools’s community was able to gather and enjoy celebrations together, with Santa making an appearance on the basketball court.
Head teacher Scott Callander, said: “It was wonderful to welcome families and community members back to our Drakies Primary and ELCC Christmas Fayre.
“The Fayre was organised by our fantastic parent council, with all funds raised going to the parent council funds.
“The parent council has provided us with a significant amount of funding to instal our new ‘Polycrub’ and to subsidise our trip to the pantomime at Eden Court.”
He added: “The success of the Christmas Fayre will allow our parent council to continue to support worthwhile projects at the school.
“Thank you to all members of the community and our families for coming along to support the Fayre. The smiles seemed to suggest that a good time was had by all.”
