Performers of all ages brought this year’s Inverness Music Festival to a close with a showcase concert.

Throughout the festival – an annual event on the city’s cultural calendar – entrants have competed in a range of classes including traditional music, vocal, speech and dancing.

It finally came to a close with a concert at the Inverness Methodist Church in Huntly Street.

Those taking part included April Sutherland (pipes), Emma Cameron (fiddle), Gordonstoun Senior String Quartet, Luna Rose (musical theatre), Inverness Gaelic School P5 (verse), Angela Nankivell (violin) and Jason McClurg (original song).

Also taking to the stage were Dingwall String Club, Moray String Orchestra, Hannah Robertson (verse and Gaelic song), Lucy and Isla Robertson (traditional music), Florence Spilsbury Roberts (woodwind), Rebecca Cowie (vocal) and Highland Swing Band.

During the last two years, the volunteer-run festival was held online and then in a blended online and live format due to the coronavirus pandemic.
