PICTURES: TruckNess at the Black Isle Showground in Muir of Ord welcomed back after a three year break
After a three-year gap the weekend saw a welcome return of TruckNess.
It was held at the Black Isle Showground, Muir of Ord, and organisers are hoping to hold it there again next year.
Organiser George MacLennan said it was “fantastic” and added: “It was better than we could have expected. The weather helped and the new site helped as well. It’s great to be back.”
He said they had received positive feedback about the event from members of the public and around 6000 people had attended the event.
There were 145 heavy lorries as well as an assortment of vans, cars and other vehicles on display on the day. Mr MacLennan said they managed to fill 160 spaces at the site.
This year’s event was extra special as it marked the 10th anniversary of TruckNess since its inception – as well as the first in-person show since 2019 due to the pandemic.
The show attracted truckers and enthusiasts from across the Highlands and Islands, the central belt and beyond.
There was a range of prizes up for grabs in the 20 categories including the best light commercial truck up to 7.5 ton.
