YOUNG people enjoyed a splash at a watersport taster day in Inverness.
The introductory day at Muirtown basin aimed at young people with disabilities was organised by Inverness Sea Scouts and activity provider Able 2 Adventures.
Around six participants attended the day during which they could try out a range of activities such as powerboat, canoe raft, kayaks and paddleboards.
Inverness Sea Scout leader Barry Mcilwraith said he was happy that everyone had a good day.
He said: "All was good, we had a good time and everybody got wet, even the carers!
"We had a nice day weather-wise and all the young people that came down actually got in the water, which was really good.
"We had people were paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking and just having a splash about in the canal as well.
"It was not sunny but the temperature was good and there was no wind or rain so that was the main thing.
"We had lots of good feedback from the carers and parents that came down on the day as well, which is very good."
With one new recruit made on the day, he said they would like to organise more of these in the future.
"It doesn't matter if they want to join the Sea Scouts, but just offer this to young people with disabilities and give them a day or an afternoon out, a change of scenery...it's definitely something we would like to do.
"We are very much about having fun on the water, in a safe way!"
