Scottish National Hotel of the Year Awards – Inverness area success as Culloden House Hotel and Foyers Lodge pick up honours at ceremony at SEC in Glasgow
Two luxurious ‘country retreats’ in the Inverness area have picked up four prestigious honours at a top Scottish hotel awards night.
Culloden House Hotel in Inverness and Foyers Lodge on the southern shores of Loch Ness each took home a brace of prizes from the National Hotels of the Year - Scotland ceremony at the SEC in Glasgow on Wednesday.
Culloden House, which is undergoing a major refurbishment to be completed this year, was named Scottish Country House of the Year in what was a sell-out 21st annual staging of the glittering industry event.
Culloden House chef Scott O’Keefe also picked up the National Chef Excellence Award.
The hotel’s social media read: “We couldn’t be prouder or happier if we tried!”
Anna and Phil Low, owners of Foyers Lodge 20 miles south of Inverness, were unable to make the event but won the Small Luxury Destination of the Year and the Interior Design Award.
The couple wrote on their social media: “We woke up to some very exciting news this morning following last night's National Hotels of the Year - Scotland awards ceremony which took place in Glasgow.
“Foyers Lodge won not one but two awards. We were very disappointed not to be able to attend in person but are absolutely thrilled with this news.”
Foyers Lodge is gearing up to re-open for the 2025 season on March 26 after completing a number of upgrades and improvements over the winter close season.
