PICTURES: Young Inverness performers are class acts as they ace exams
AN Inverness school for performing arts is boasting a 100 per cent pass rate at this year’s acrobatic arts exams.
Fifty-two students at TFX Performing Arts received a pass, commended, highly commended, excellent and distinction evaluation.
The exams took place remotely via Zoom over two weeks, with students being examined a group at a time.
One of the young talents gaining a pass was Kaiyan Shareef (11), whose talent impressed so much last year that he was awarded an extra scholarship in addition to the two offered by TFX.
This year he took his level three acrobatic arts exam and was commended on his passing grade with an excellent grading on his bonus skill and exam etiquette.
He said: “This was my second acro exam and although I was nervous, I really enjoyed it and the teachers made it so much fun!”
With the support of the scholarship, he has been able to participate in musical theatre classes.
He said: “My confidence is really growing and each week I feel myself working harder.”
TFX starts acro classes – described as a mix of gymnastics and dance – at pre-school level from the age of three.
