Inverness Fairways fire mentioned in notes found in Lochardil

Police are investigating after anonymous notes mentioning the Fairways Business Park fire in Inverness were discovered at the weekend.

Several pieces of paper with a variety of alarming claims, believed to be malicious, displayed on them were found in Lochardil on Sunday morning.

It is not known if they were distributed to residents in the area.

The Inverness Courier has seen one of the notes but has decided against sharing its contents publicly. After being informed by a reader, our reporter immediately told police and Highland Council.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Inverness have been made aware of a number of notes found in the area on Sunday. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are working closely with our partners at the Highland Council.”

The council has been approached for comment.
