Inverness crash between car and mobility scooter sparks Police Scotland appeal; Highland officers seeking car driver after vehicle left scene before emergency services arrived
Police have appealed for help tracing a vehicle’s driver after a crash involving a car and mobility scooter in Inverness city centre.
The collision occurred at the Shore Street roundabout at around 2.45pm on Thursday.
Police said the car left the scene before emergency services arrived, and officers have appealed for information that might help trace them.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.45pm on Thursday, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a mobility scooter on Shore Street, Inverness.
“The car left the scene prior to emergency services attending.
“The male driver of the scooter was checked over by paramedics at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to trace the car and driver and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 1956 of 30 January, 2025.”
