Police have been carrying out speed and other traffic checks near Inverness schools today in a bid to reduce road dangers for young people.
Inverness community beat officers were out in force to form a visible presence near a number of primary and secondaries in the city.
The school safety initiative day involved speed monitoring of passing vehicles, while also tackling inconsiderate parking.
Officers also engaged with a number of parents, pupils, teachers and drivers with the support of local councillors.
