The majority of voters in an Inverness Courier online poll said they would support Scottish independence if a referendum was held next year.
Yesterday First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said that one should be held on October 19, 2023 and the SNP-led government published the Scottish independence referendum bill.
We asked readers whether or not they would support independence if the referendum was allowed to go ahead by the UK government.
A total of 65 per cent of those who took part said they would while 32 per cent said they would not and three per cent said they did not know.
