Customers delighted to see reopening of popular Inverness cafe and gift shop Whisk Away following relocation
A popular Inverness cafe and gift shop has reopened in a new city centre location.
Whisk Away was closed for six weeks for the relocation from Baron Taylor's Street to Queensgate.
Owner Nyomi Dixon, who is part of a 10-strong staff, said there has already been good feedback from customers.
"I think it is a better spot and we'll get more footfall," she said.
The cafe has created a children's play area at the new location and is also planning various events in the run-up to Christmas.
They include breakfast with Santa, wreath-making classes and opening on Friday evenings in December for cocktails.
It is also running OAP Thursdays with soup and a sandwich, a sweet treat and tea or coffee on the menu.

The cafe also showcases work for sale by 48 different crafts people and artists.
"We want to do things to get the community in and to make the city centre more appealing," Miss Dixon said.
She first opened Whisk Away just over a year ago and acknowledged the timing with the coronavirus pandemic and economic crisis had been challenging.
But she remains upbeat and said the feedback since reopening has been "amazing".
"A lot of people have been saying they have missed us," she said.
