A well-used pedestrian bridge in Inverness has re-opened following emergency repairs.

Greig Street Bridge closed at the start of August to enable a section of the structure's deck to be repaired.

The work was mostly completed by the weekend enabling the bridge to be re-opened.

A Highland Council spokeswoman said minor finishing touches still had to be carried to the work but they would not require a closure and would not affect or delay the walking public.
