A BOOMING Ross port’s bid to build upon its continuing growth has received a boost after the appointment of a figure to oversee its new five-year development plan.The Port of Cromarty Firth’s Joanne Allday has been promoted to strategic business development manager, leading its new development plan.The post will see her work to build on existing growth by gathering market intelligence, analysing trends and identifying growth opportunities, future investment and commercial initiatives and providing strategic planning among other roles.Ms Allday has been marketing and PR manager at the Port since 2016 and has worked in marketing since 1997.She said: “The oil and gas industry, and the port, is going through a time of critical change. It is a time to focus on what we do well, and to look at new and developing markets, to brings investments and jobs to the port and the surrounding area.“I am looking forward to playing a key role in the port’s future.”
