Kinmylies Post Office set to close in March 2023

A post office serving an Inverness community will be closing next year, it has been announced.

Staff have announced that the post office branch located in the Spar Kinmylies will be closing in March 2023.

The announcement, placed in the shop facing Charleston Academy, stated that due to the financial loss that the branch had been seeing in the past few years an the remuneration from Post Office Ltd not covering the wages involved, management had to take this "difficult decision".

It stated: "Although the Post Office has been challenging, we have appreciated and enjoyed serving our many customers past and present."
